  • Dinner & Concert – Sunday, Dec 11, 5:00 for dinner – Concert begins at 7 pm

Several New Song folks (Jenny, Jane, Kristin and Tad) are singing in the St. Louis County Community Chorus’ Season of Light concert. Let’s go support them and hear a great concert! Anyone interested in meeting for dinner at 5 and then attending the concert? RSVP right away to Twila at for details. If you just want to attend the concert, go to for info and tickets.

  • Folks Need Socks, Gloves, Hats & Coats!

We’ve already experienced some winter weather this year, but the worst of it will be after Christmas. Let’s collect new socks, hats and gloves (and new/gently used coats) for those in need. We will hang them each week on the Christmas tree in the Chapel, then distribute them in January. Contact Rex or Twila for more info.

  • Christmas Joy for Caring Solutions Residents

This year we will return to one of our favorite ways to serve others in the Christmas season! We are asking all New Song folks who are able to visit Caring Solutions Christmas List and choose one or more gifts to share:

Back to School – Blessing of the Backpacks and Those Who Carry Them!

During worship on August 27 we’ll have our annual Blessing of the Backpacks. Following the worship, we’ll all move to the Fellowship Hall for a hot dog extravaganza.  That’s right, we’re moving inside for this typically blistering hot event.

Show Us Your Stuff

If you or your children have some amazing talent you’d like to share with us, the hot dog extravaganza is your opportunity to shine.  Come prepared to sing your song, or play your instrument.  Contact Darrell Faires if you need accompaniment.

 Backpack Outreach

We’re partnering with Little Bit Foundation to provide school supplies and backpacks for children who cannot afford them. We’ll be collecting these supplies throughout the month of August. Please feel free to use the link below to shop directly from the foundation’s Amazon Wishlist.

School Supply Drive Amazon Wishlist

If you’re shopping from this Amazon list, you can choose to have items shipped directly to the foundation. Super easy! If you choose that option, please put “School Supply Drive” and your name in the gift receipt space.

You can also use this list as a guide to purchase like items on your own and bring them to church any time between now and the Backpack Blessing on August 27. Jenny will make sure they get to the foundation’s office after our event. Do you have questions? Email Jenny Bosworth at
