We Need Easter Eggs!

This year New Song will be donating filled Easter Eggs to the children at Gateway 180 and also for New Song’s Easter Egg hunt. Consequently, we need lots of empty plastic Easter Eggs and small foil wrapped chocolate eggs to put in them! Other small toys and stickers will be available to include
also. If you would like to donate, please bring items to worship this Saturday, March 17th. There will be a basket in the foyer for them. Then, that evening after worship, during Sack ‘Em Saturday, we’ll pack sack lunches and also fill the Easter Eggs. Please join others downstairs after worship if you or your children would like to help.

SuperSaturday is March 3

Since Easter is April 1st, SuperSaturday in March will help children get ready for Easter.

We’ll hear the Easter story in ways appropriate to the children’s age levels including Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem and the Last Supper with the disciples. Children will experience communion together in imitation of the Last Supper Jesus had with the disciples.

Connecting with other children is always part of our SS night. Dinner, birthday celebrations, games, activities and crafts are times for children not only to have fun, but also to form friendships.

Teachers are looking forward to a special night with children on March 3rd!

SackEm Up Saturday

This Saturday, the 20th is our monthly support of the Gateway 180 Brown Bag operation where we sack up Peanut Butter, Bread, Jelly, Granola Bars, Fruit and Bottles of Water.

Gateway180 often has free brown bag lunches on hand to distribute to low-income members of the community. G180 accepts meals from volunteers, and they are then distributed to hungry people coming to Gateway 180 in need of food.

We meet to assemble bags immediately after worship.  Please contact Rex Loy at newsongstl.org if you would like to know which items are needed.
